The Snoqualmie Pass Community Center was a pivotal project for Twiddy & Strand Construction. Partnering with Evolution Projects, a Seattle-based commercial construction leader, this job marked our entry into commercial construction — requiring tight coordination, technical execution, and efficient project management.
With three separate builds happening simultaneously on one site, this project tested our capacity as a company and proved our ability to perform at the next level.
Snoqualmie Pass Community Center – Snoqualmie, WA
VanAlstyne Remodel – Snoqualmie, WA
The VanAlstyne Remodel represents the largest residential project to date for Twiddy & Strand Construction — a complete reimagining of a Snoqualmie home from the foundation up. Spanning nearly a year, this remodel involved lifting the entire home, building a new lower level, adding a third floor, and finishing every inch with custom detailing and architectural precision.
From start to finish, this project highlights our ability to manage complex, multi-phase builds while delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
The Black Diamond Strip Mall project was another defining moment for Twiddy & Strand Construction. Coming off the success of the Snoqualmie Pass Community Center, we once again owned the full structures package — but this time, the scale was bigger, the timeline was tighter, and the visibility was higher.
With a building footprint more than twice the size of Snoqualmie Pass, this project tested our limits as a growing company and became a launchpad for future opportunities, including Alaska commercial builds.
Black Diamond Strip Mall – Black Diamond, WA
Stevens Custom Home – Shelton, WA
The Stevens Custom Home was one of Twiddy & Strand Construction’s most exciting new builds — a 3,500-square-foot custom home constructed in Shelton, WA. Working under an owner acting as general contractor, we owned the entire framing, enclosure, and siding package, delivering a flawless structure designed for long-term beauty and performance.
This project ran concurrently with the VanAlstyne Remodel, showcasing our ability to manage multiple high-volume builds while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
NVU Office Building – Unalakleet, AK
The NVU Office Building, led by Continental Industries, marked Twiddy & Strand Construction’s second build in Alaska. Commissioned by the Native Village of Unalakleet (NVU), this 6,000-square-foot modular office building was manufactured in the lower 48 and shipped via barge, requiring detailed coordination and on-site adaptability to deliver successfully in a remote location.
