Partnering with Evolution Projects, a Seattle-based commercial construction leader, this job marked our entry into commercial construction — requiring tight coordination, technical execution, and efficient project management.
With three separate builds happening simultaneously on one site, this project tested our capacity as a company and proved our ability to perform at the next level.

Project Story
Operating as a subcontractor to Evolution Projects, we took ownership of the entire structures package for the Snoqualmie Pass Community Center. Our responsibilities included all structural framing, sheeting, structural steel member installation, and several miscellaneous framing scopes throughout the building.
This was a self-performed project, meaning our team handled every aspect of the structural build directly — an opportunity to push our capabilities, refine our systems, and measure the full capacity of Twiddy & Strand Construction at scale.
The site itself presented unique challenges. With three major construction projects happening at once within one large property, we needed constant coordination with other contractors, active management of heavy equipment, and precise scheduling to ensure safety and efficiency.
Looking Ahead
This project was a major milestone for Twiddy & Strand Construction. It marked the beginning of our transition into commercial-scale builds, showcased our ability to handle complex site coordination, and demonstrated our readiness for high-volume projects — experience that directly paved the way for future opportunities, including the Black Diamond Strip Mall and Alaska projects that followed.
